Anika Therapeutics Inc. on Friday said it received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for its X-Twist Knotless Fixation System.
The Bedford, Mass., orthopedic and regenerative medicines company said the system is a platform of suture anchors for repairs in the shoulder, foot and ankle, and other extremities.
Anika said it expects to begin commercializing the system in the U.S. in the second half of the year.
