Fortescue 2Q Iron Ore Shipments, Costs Higher

Fortescue Metals Group Ltd. reported a 2% increase in second-half iron-ore shipments and said quarterly costs were 20% higher than a year ago.
The Australian iron-ore miner Tuesday said it shipped 47.5 million metric tons of iron ore in the three months through December. So-called C1 costs rose to $15.31 a wet metric ton, Fortescue added.
