Shares of power producers rose sharply as investors tiptoed back into the stock market via the traditionally safe utilities sector following a week of violent selloffs.
Bank of America said it signed agreements involving Duke Energy and NRG Energy unit Reliant for renewable-energy supplies at its North Carolina and Texas operations, as reported earlier.
