AMG Yacktman and AMG Yacktman Focused Add a Comanager; Ratings Unchanged

Analyst Note

| |

Adam Sues was named comanager of AMG Yacktman and AMG Yacktman Focused, effective May 1. Sues joins managers Stephen Yacktman and Jason Subotky, who have run the funds together for over a decade. Sues first joined the team as an analyst in 2013 and has managed AMG Yacktman Special Opportunities YASLX, a non-U.S. small-cap fund, since its 2014 launch. Yacktman and Subotky credit Sues with broadening their scope beyond U.S. stocks. Performance on Yacktman and Yacktman Focus has been feast or famine since Sues joined as the conservative funds lagged during market rallies and shined in sell-offs, but the team’s ability to find bargains has produced attractive risk-adjusted returns. Sues' promotion doesn’t affect either strategy’s Above Average People Pillar or Morningstar Analyst Rating of Silver.

Maintaining independence and editorial freedom is essential to our mission of empowering investor success. We provide a platform for our authors to report on investments fairly, accurately, and from the investor’s point of view. We also respect individual opinions––they represent the unvarnished thinking of our people and exacting analysis of our research processes. Our authors can publish views that we may or may not agree with, but they show their work, distinguish facts from opinions, and make sure their analysis is clear and in no way misleading or deceptive.

To further protect the integrity of our editorial content, we keep a strict separation between our sales teams and authors to remove any pressure or influence on our analyses and research.
