Binbin Guo, of Vanguard’s in-house Quantitative Equity Group, will leave the management team of Vanguard Equity-Income and retire in September 2021, the firm recently announced. Guo’s departure comes in the aftermath of former QEG manager James Stetler’s July 2021 retirement, and the Feb. 26, 2021, naming of Sharon Hill as a manager. Hill, who has roughly two decades of industry experience, will oversee QEG’s roughly one third slice of the fund while Wellington Management’s Michael Reckmeyer will continue to subadvise the rest. The fund’s two share classes retain their Morningstar Analyst Rating of Silver.
