Veteran analyst Edward Yen became the fourth sleeve manager for the multimanager offering Davis Opportunity on Jan. 1, 2022. His addition comes about 11 months after former manager Kent Whitaker left the fund. Whereas Whitaker specialized in energy, Yen's background is in global Internet, media, and telecommunications companies. Yen joined Davis Advisors in July 2013 after finishing a full-time Master of Business Administration at Stanford. He started in the investing industry in 2006 and worked at Lehman Brothers as well as Dodge & Cox before pursuing his MBA. As this is Yen's first public portfolio management role at Davis, his addition does not alter the fund's Morningstar Analyst Rating of Neutral across all share classes.
