DFA Emerging Markets Core Equity Portfolio borrows some of the best attributes of index-tracking funds while taking advantage of the freedom that comes from not rigidly tracking an index. While the underlying process is sound, the portfolio is still exposed to emerging markets-specific risks, decreasing our confidence in its ability to outperform the MSCI Emerging Markets Index on a risk-adjusted basis over the long haul. We are downgrading its Morningstar Analyst Rating to Bronze from Silver.
