Capital Group announced that effective March 1, 2021, Robert Neithart will no longer be a named portfolio manager on American Funds Capital World Bond CWBFX. Neithart will focus exclusively on emerging-markets debt going forward and will no longer manage a generalist sleeve of this strategy. Philip Chitty, a global- and European-focused portfolio manager who joined the firm in 2004, will assume Neithart's responsibilities on this strategy. Generalist comanagers Thomas Høgh and Andrew Cormack will remain in place. Høgh has been a comanager on this strategy for over two decades, while Cormack became a comanager in 2019, having joined the firm in 2018 following 14 years at Western Asset.
