Daniel Tranchita, a portfolio manager on several Baird fixed-income strategies, announced his retirement from the firm effective June 30, 2021. A firm veteran who was named on this strategy since inception, he is retiring from the industry to spend more time on personal affairs. Tranchita, who formerly led the firm’s structured products research, leaves behind a well-resourced team that has grown in recent years. Meghan Dean, named to this strategy in May 2019, and Patrick Brown, named in May 2021, will succeed him as co-leads of structured product research following Tranchita’s retirement. Given that he has a supporting role on this strategy and that the rest of the portfolio management team remains stable, the strategy retains its Above Average People Pillar rating and overall Morningstar Analyst Ratings.
