Warren Miller

Warren Miller, CFA, is vice president of global quantitative research for Morningstar. In this role, he leads the firm’s quantitative research team to create analytically rigorous tools and methodologies for investors. In addition, he manages Morningstar’s Conviction Long portfolio, an equity investment strategy geared toward institutional investors, and led the development Morningstar’s Quantitative Equity Ratings.

Miller joined the company in 2007 as an equity analyst, covering the travel and leisure industry. He was promoted to senior quantitative equity analyst in 2009 and to director of quantitative research for the equity and credit research teams in 2011 before assuming his current role in 2013.

Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and economics from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in business administration, with concentrations in analytic finance, econometrics, and economics, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
