Star Rating Changes from January
Janus, Janus Venture, T. Rowe Price New Horizons, Fidelity Contrafund.
January's brief stock market rebound, spurred, in part, by two large interest-rate cuts by the Federal Reserve, helped a few funds favoring technology and smaller companies recover stars they lost during 2000's bear market.
Janus investors lost buckets of money last year, and even more if they bought their shares while the firm's funds peaked in 1999 and early 2000. However, the popular family's flagship, Janus Fund (JANSX), led a rebound in Denver last month that helped it and a couple other funds boost their overall star ratings.
