The Week Ahead: Last Jobs Report Ahead of Fed Meeting
Data from Friday's jobs report could weigh on the Fed's rate decision. Plus, manufacturing data and a handful of earnings.
Jeremy Glaser: For Morningstar, I'm Jeremy Glaser, and welcome to The Week Ahead.
As November comes to a close, economic data will be in focus. The jobs report on Friday is the big event. This is the last report before the Fed's December meeting and could be a key factor in the decision whether to raise rates or not.
The ISM index and auto sales will provide an update on the health of the manufacturing sector. Autos will be closely watched given fears that sales have stalled. The second estimate of third-quarter GDP will be released on Monday.
There isn't much on the earnings front, but we will hear from Tiffany, Dollar General, and Kroger.
Stay tuned to Morningstar for our take on these stories.
