Jeremy Glaser: For Morningstar, I'm Jeremy Glaser, and welcome to The Week Ahead, our quick take on what investors should have on their radar screens for the week starting Sept. 26.
The month will close out with a mix of earnings and data.
Friday's personal consumption numbers will be one of the most closely eyed, both to see how the consumer is holding up and also for the embedded price index, which is the Fed's preferred measure of inflation.
There is also some housing data and consumer sentiment and confidence numbers due.
Carnival and other cruise lines have sold off on travel slowdown fears. We'll get an update from the line on Monday.
Nike reports on Tuesday, and investors will be looking to see if, among other things, growth in China will continue.
Other earnings this week include Pepsico, McCormick, and BlackBerry.
Stay tuned to Morningstar for our take on all of these stories.
