Dreyfus Defined Contribution Investors, the unit of Mellon Financial (MEL) that sells retirement plans such as 401(k)s, on Monday launched its personal-advisor service. The program will give Dreyfus' retirement-plan participants access to a financial planner who will offer them one-on-one advice in forging fiscal plans, recommend asset-allocation strategies, and periodically maintain accounts.
