Janus Would Rather Close Enterprise than Pig Out, Goff Says
Manager James Goff said Janus may close his popular Janus Enterprise Fund, which is approaching $6 billion in assets.
Janus Capital expects to close its high-flying Janus Enterprise (JAENX), perhaps as soon as midyear, if money flowing into the fund does not abate, said the fund’s manager, James Goff.
Responding to queries from Morningstar.com users and Morningstar equity-funds editor Christine Benz in a recent question and answer session, Goff said, "I don’t know what flows into Janus Enterprise will look like in 2000, but if they maintain the pace of the last few months, I foresee having to close the fund to new investors in the next 12 to 18 months."
