Asian Markets End Lower on U.S. Woes

Asian markets ended mostly lower Wednesday tracking losses on Wall Street overnight on reports talks had stalled between U.S. lawmakers to agree a budget deal and raise the debt limit.

The Nikkei edged up 0.2%. The Shanghai Composite fell 1.8% while the Hang Seng gave up 0.5%. The Sensex was shut for a holiday while the S&P/ASX All Ordinaries slipped 0.1%.
