Asian Markets All End Lower

Asian markets all ended lower Monday after the World Bank lowered its growth forecast for China and other emerging Asian economies, and a week-long continuing impasse among U.S. politicians over the budget further unnerved investors.

The Nikkei ended down 1.2%. The Hang Seng lost 0.7% while the Sensex slipped 0.1%. The Shanghai Composite remained shut for holidays while markets in Sydney were also closed today.
