Asian Markets Down as World Bank Cuts Forecast

Asian markets were all lower Monday after the World Bank lowered its growth forecast for China and other emerging Asian economies, and a week-long continuing impasse among U.S. politicians over the budget.

The Nikkei was down 1%. The Hang Seng lost 0.7% while the Sensex was down a percent.  The Shanghai Composite remained shut for holidays while markets in Sydney are also shut today.
