U.S. stock index futures drifted lower Monday, hinting a slightly lower to flat open for Wall Street equities.
Futures on the S&P 500 index were down 1.50 points at 1505.25 points while those on the Nasdaq were down 0.50 to 2756.0 points.
The economic calendar is pretty thin today with only factory orders data slated for release at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. The CB Employment Trends Index will also be released at the same time.
Companies due to report earnings Monday include Sysco Corp., Gilead Sciences, Gannett Co. Inc. and Yum! Brands.
Across other markets, Asian bourses outside Shanghai and Tokyo erased earlier gains while European stocks pushed lower after the release of some regional economic news.
