(MarketNewsVideo.com) -- This morning, Rogers Communications (RCI) declared its quarterly dividend of thirty two cents per share, an increase of about 17% over its prior dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about four percent going forward.
In afternoon trading, shares of RCI were headed lower as the increased dividend failed to offset the poor earnings announcement. Currently, the stock is down about five percent and could be heading lower.
In other dividend news, M&T Bank (MTB) maintained its quarterly dividend of 70 cents per share. And XTO Energy (XTO) maintained its quarterly dividend of 12.5 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Coca Cola Enterprises (CCE) announced its quarterly dividend of 9 cents per share, an increase of about 12% over its prior dividend in November of 8 cents. And Sherwin Williams (SHW) announced its quarterly dividend of 36 cents per share, an increase of about 1% over its prior dividend in November of 35.5 cents.
